TelOne striker Washington Navaya has been crowned the 2025 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Soccer Star of the Year.

Navaya scored seventeen goals, a tally that also earned him the Golden Boot award.

Scottland FC towering defender Kevin Moyo finished as the first runner-up, while Simba Bhora’s Emmanuel Ziocha claimed the second runner-up spot.

The night also saw Tonderai Ndiraya scooping the Coach of the year award for the second consecutive season.

Ndiraya won the award with Simba Bhora last year and he clinched it again this season after guiding Scotland to win the Championship in their maiden season in the league.

Young Mafious Chihweta from Scotland FC was named most promising player and Malawian William Thole of Simba Bhora scooped best goalkeeper award.

Brighton Chimene, who will be officiating at AFCON 2025 won the Referee of the year award ahead of Francis Chirwa and Tafadzwa Nkala who came First runner and second runner up respectively.

Dynamos proved that they indeed have 7 million supporters as Emmanuel Jalai won the Fans Choice Award.

Bikita Minerals FC won the most disciplined team of the season, an award which Dynamos will never dream of as they set to appear before the Premier Soccer League for delaying the Chibuku Super Cup final.

Washington Navaya is part of the provisional Warriors squad that is preparing for AFCON 2025 to be played in Morrocco this month.

His form and goal scoring prowess has made him one of the best strikers this season, especially from an average team like Telone FC.

Dynamos were presented with the Chibuku Super Cup trophy which they will keep for good as a result of clinching the trophy three times in a row.

Former Warriors striker Benjani Mwaruwari was the Guest of Honour at the Awards Ceremony which was attended by several soccer legends including Warriors head coach Marian Marinica.
