Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee awards Herentals FC a win over Kwekwe United.
The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has issued disciplinary action against Kwekwe United FC for failing to fulfill a scheduled Castle Lager PSL fixture, awarding the match to Herentals FC.
In a statement PSL communications and media liaison officer Kudzai Bare said that the PSL Disciplinary Committee found Kwekwe United guilty and imposed a fine of USD $3500, of which USD $500 of the fine has been suspended for the remainder of the season on condition that the club does not commit a similar offence.
“The fine of USD $3000, along with the cost of the hearing is to be paid by May 23, 2025. The unfulfilled fixture has been awarded to Herentals FC on a three nil scoreline,” said Bare.
The three points awarded to Herential saw the students moving from number 10 to 7 on the log.
Kwekwe United FC players boycotted the match because of outstanding signing on fees and winning bonuses owed by the club.
Meanwhile, reports say troubled Harare giants, Dynamos FC Executive is set to announce a new technical bench with Saul Chaminuka coming in as Head coach.
Mablanyo and his lieutenant Mark Mathe faces the chop as the club seeks for redemption ahead of a dull Harare Derby on Sunday.
Dynamos will be at home against perrenial rival and also troubled Caps United at Rufaro.
New coach Ian Bakala led Caps to a draw in his first match as Makepekepe coach.
