Chikomba East Constituency MP and Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development Honourable Felix Tapiwa Mhona, has vowed to support Tsate women’s group, which produces drinks and other products as a means of self-empowerment and poverty alleviation, through resources and potential funding opportunities.

The Tsate women’s group from Ward 15 under Councillor Elizabeth Muswere in Chikomba East constituency is comprised of 10 women who have united to produce drinks and other products as a source of income and empowerment.

The Honourable Minister was impressed by the Tsate women’s group’s shift from poultry projects to producing drinks and dishwashing liquids, demonstrating their adaptability and entrepreneurial spirit.

Lovemore Masunungure, the Chikomba East Constituency Co-ordinator, remarked in a statement that Honorable Felix Tapiwa Mhona was inspired by the Tsate women’s group’s creative skills and entrepreneurship in a rural setting.

“Honourable Felix Tapiwa Mhona was deeply impressed by the Tsate women’s group’s resourcefulness and entrepreneurship in a rural setting.

“He saw first-hand the creativity and business keenness of the Tsate women’s group in Ward 15.

“Their endeavors in developing drinks and dishwashing liquids are truly remarkable,” said Masunungure.

Mr Masunungure added that Minister Mhona pledged his support to the Tsate women’s group, promising to supply the necessary resources and materials for their production of drinks and dishwashing liquids.

Coordinator Masunungure also said that Minister Mhona encourages women and youth to take charge of their futures by battling poverty and hunger during this challenging El Niño-induced drought season through entrepreneurship and community support.

“Our Honorable Minister is committed to supporting projects that will eliminate poverty in the community and empower women and youth to thrive,” Masunungure said.

He added that Minister Mhona’s pledge aligns with President Mnangagwa’s vision for rural industrialization, making it a timely and vital contribution to the region’s economic development.

“The Minister’s support for the Tsate women’s group’s endeavors is a testament to President Mnangagwa’s mission for rural industrialization, and it will greatly benefit the economic growth of our region.

“This pledge is a shining example of the government’s commitment to promoting rural entrepreneurship, which not only improves the economic conditions of individuals but also contributes to the overall prosperity of our community.

“The Tsate women’s group’s endeavors are perfectly aligned with President Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 for Zimbabwe, which seeks to transform our nation into an Upper Middle Class economy by embracing entrepreneurship at all levels of society, from rural areas to urban centers,” said Masunungure.

Meanwhile, preparations for the final cluster of celebrations are proceeding smoothly and are nearly complete, ensuring a seamless and successful event.

The final cluster celebrations are scheduled for the beginning of next month.

The cluster will comprise Wilshire HQ, Masasa, Rukovere, Wazvaremhaka, and Mahusvu districts.
