Mr Noah Kagodo’s family, who passed away upon arrival at Chitungwiza yesterday, revealed that the late Unyetu Primary School headmaster had been unwell for some time, prior to his untimely demise.

When confirming the news to vhayeya.com and refuting rumors of food poisoning, Mr Kagodo’s family attributed his death to complications from the ulcers that had been troubling him for some time, possibly leading to his unfortunate passing.

“Vanga vava nenguva vane maacids nemaulcers saka vanga vasingadyi sadza kana rice” (Mr Kagodo had avoided eating heavy foods such as sadza and rice for some time now due to his ulcers), a grieving relative disclosed to the media, expressing deep sadness over the loss.

Following his sudden death, rumors of poisoning quickly spread, fueled by various sources, despite the family’s denial and confirmation that his health had been declining for some time.

“This is not about politics, but there are some people here who do not want people from other areas to come and work here .Come here one day when you are free you shall hear of the story of Mai Rwodzi , I won’t say much ” said a source in the area .

Meanwhile efforts to get a comment from the area Councillor Cde Education Chugwa were fruitless as his number was not reachable.

DCC member Mr Shame Chibvongodze swiftly dismissed the rumors of poisoning in his statement to vhayeya.com, firmly asserting that Mr Kagodo’s death was not the result of foul play.

“He couldn’t finish the plate of rice he ate and our Headman Ranga’s aide finished ìt and had no problems. Those who are talking of poisoning are not correct,” said Cde Chibvongodze.

Vhayeya.com received numerous messages from the area, with many locals alleging poisoning as the cause of Mr Kagodo’s death.

However, the family’s comments on his health condition appear to have quelled the rumors and shifted the narrative towards natural causes.
