The Zimbabwe Under-23 Warriors have arrived in Mauritius ahead of their second-leg 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Under-23 qualifier against Mauritius.
The Young Warriors head into the encounter with a two-goal advantage after securing a 2–0 victory in the first leg in Zimbabwe.
David Chigwada opened the scoring in the 34th minute, before Nisbet Moi Mutenda added the second in the 68th minute.
The second leg is scheduled for 6 October in Mauritius, with Zimbabwe looking to protect their advantage and complete the job away from home.
Mauritius, meanwhile, will be hoping to overturn the two-goal deficit on home soil and keep their qualification hopes alive.
The encounter is expected to test Zimbabwe’s defensive organisation and ability to manage the game under pressure, with both sides fighting to keep their qualification hopes on track.
