The Young Warriors are on the verge of progressing to the next round of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations Under-23 qualifiers when they face Mauritius in the second leg on Tuesday.
Zimbabwe head into the decisive encounter with a 2-0 advantage from the first leg, putting them in a strong position to secure qualification away from home.
The Young Warriors dominated the opening match and will be looking to maintain their composure and complete the job in Mauritius.
Fulham midfielder Seith Chingwaro says the squad is united and fully prepared for the challenge, although the team remains aware that the tie is not yet over.
The Young Warriors have been in camp since September 21 and continued their preparations after arriving in Mauritius.
Zimbabwe will need to guard against complacency and protect their two-goal advantage, while Mauritius will be determined to overturn the deficit on home soil.
With a place in the next stage at stake, Tuesday’s encounter will provide a crucial test of the Young Warriors’ character and their ability to finish the job.
