Former Dynamos coach Genesis Mangombe has swiftly transitioned to Division 1 side Scotland FC, joining the club just 24 hours after resigning from his position at Dynamos.

Genesis Mangombe resigned his position as Dynamos gaffer yesterday morning, marking the end of his tenure in his second season with the club.

Mangombe vowed to transform the ambitious Northern Region Division 1 side into a competitive force, igniting hopes of a brighter future for the team.

“With the right support we can achieve anything I feel here I have everything to showcase what I am fully made of and I believe we will go far,” said Mangombe.

The former Dynamos coach has been given a target to secure promotion to the Premier Soccer League and he takes over with the team in fourth position four points behind log leaders MWORS FC.

Scotland FC, owned by Mabvuku MP Scott Sakupwanya, boasts a roster of experienced players, including notable talents like Denver Mukamba and Jacob Nyakope.

Mangombe took over as Dynamos Head Coach last season, where he successfully secured the Chibuku Super Cup and guided Dembare to a commendable third position in the league.

Pressure mounted on Dembare as the team secured only six wins after 22 matches this season, raising concerns about their performance.

Dynamos supporters once staged a demonstration in response to the team’s poor results, expressing their anger at Mangombe for managing to secure victory against only the team promoted from Division 1.

Scotland FC is set to battle against MWOS FC and Harare City in an exciting showdown in Northern Region Division 1 that promises to showcase the best of local football.
