The remains of a Tsate woman from Chikomba who had gone missing for 2 and half months Fungai Munemo née Mutuwere aged 87 years were finally discovered by police in a mountain after having disappeared on 13 December and a report was made on 15 December.

On 24 December a dog brought a foot skin and police came in but failed to locate the missing woman.

A source said they were not suspecting any foul play.

” Yes her body was found in a mountain and it seems it is common in their family for people to go missing. A dog initially brought a foot skin in December. The police came and put up a splendid search effort but it was to no avail” said the source

On 25 December, the police brought sniffer dogs from Chivhu but still they could not find anything.

On 3 March a local man Simon Pasipanodya discovered her remains, he told his village head who informed the relatives and police were informed.

The remains await forensic examination at Sadza hospital mortuary.
