FC Hunters has confirmed Rudhaka Stadium in Marondera as their home ground for the upcoming Castle Lager Premier Soccer League season, marking a new chapter for the team following their promotion.
The team announced the news in a press statement issued earlier today, also categorically stating that it is not for sale.
“The Club will use Rudhaka Stadium for their home matches and plans are underway to upgrade the stadium in collaboration with Marondera Municipality to meet the PSL standards.
“The Club wishes to inform all its players and supporters that it is ready for the Premier Soccer League and is not for sale,” read the statement.
The Clever Boys also expressed confidence in their current squad and coaching staff, stating that they will be sticking with the same team for the upcoming PSL season, as per the press statement.
“FC Hunters will retain all players and technical team, with plans to strengthen the squad as recommended,” the club said.
The club also took the opportunity to celebrate their historic achievement as the first team from Mashonaland East to earn promotion, extending their gratitude to supporters and stakeholders for their unwavering backing.
“FC Hunters is thrilled to announce our historic promotion to the Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League (PSL). This achievement marks a significant milestone for our club, our supporters, and the community of Mashonaland East and Zimbabwe at large.
“The Club President, Management and Staff are proud to have made history as the first team in Mashonaland East post-independence to achieve PSL promotion.

FC Hunters secured their promotion with a thrilling 2-1 win over title contenders Tenax FC last Sunday, a victory that confirmed their top-flight spot with a game still to play.
Young coach, Clifford Dzvairo, made history at just 27 years old, becoming the youngest coach to guide a team into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
Meanwhile, the battle for promotion continues to rage in the Northern Region Division 1, with contenders Agama and N’ombeyaora registering victories today, keeping the title race hotly contested.
N’ombeyaora lead the race with 80 points while Agama is on second position with 79 points.
N’ombeyaora edged Shamva 2-0, while Agama won comfortably 3-0 against Cranborne Bullets, keeping their promotion hopes alive.
The league now has just three games remaining, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the season.
