Lingfield Advent Group of Schools in Gweru recently brought warmth to the chilly city of Gweru when they unveiled buses that will bring traveling convenience to the school.

On Tuesday, Lingfield Adventist Group of Schools hosted a road show that culminated in the unveiling of three brand-new buses, one Asiastars and two Yutong, sending excitement through the school kids and staff.

Lingfield Schools Directors Mr Wilson Muvuti and wife Julia Muvuti could not hide their joy as they witnessed the unveiling of the school’s new buses.

Mr Wilson Muvuti said he was humbled by the school’s achievement in such a short period of time.

“I am pleased to announce the arrival of our new school buses, a major milestone since the school’s inception in 2021. This achievement reflects a long-term vision and commitment from our entire team,” said Mr Muvuti.

He added that it had not been an easy journey, as the school had faced challenges along the way.

“From the beginning, our transport department has faced serious challenges. We relied on our old buses and hired vehicles, which were both costly and unreliable, often compromising efficiency and learner convenience,” he said.

Mr Muvuti also highlighted that reliable transport is critical in education, playing a vital role in ensuring students’ regular attendance and overall academic success.

“With over 15 years’ experience in the education sector, I fully appreciate the critical role safe and reliable transport plays in maintaining discipline, punctuality, and access to learning opportunities. These new buses are more than just a transport solution, they symbolize growth, trust, and progress for our school community,” he said.

In conclusion, he thanked the parents, Lingfield school staff, and other stakeholders for their unwavering support.

“We thank our parents, students, the High School Head Mr. Svondo, Deputy Head Mrs. Chivhunguro, Primary Headmistress Mrs. Maphosa, teachers, and staff for believing in this vision and standing with us throughout,” said Mr Muvuti.
