President Mnangagwa calls for national cohesion

His Excellency, President Cde, Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa has urged Zimbabweans to embrace unity, discipline, and hard work as the country enters 2026, a critical year in its push towards achieving Vision 2030.

In his New Year’s message, the President emphasized these values as key to national progress.

The President made the call while delivering his virtual New Year message during the third edition of the Seventh Day Adventist Church Celestial Chorus Soirée crossover celebrations.

“As we step into 2026, let us recommit to the path of unity, discipline, and hard work,” he said.

President Mnangagwa highlighted that these are important in realizing the nation’s development goals.

” Vision 2030 aims to transform Zimbabwe into a middle-income economy by 2030,” said the President.

The President’s call comes amid ongoing efforts to boost economic growth, improve living standards, and attract investment.

He also touched on the importance of leveraging technology and innovation to drive development.

President Mnangagwa expressed positivity about Zimbabwe’s potential, citing progress in sectors like agriculture and mining.

He urged citizens to work together to overcome challenges and seize opportunities for growth.

The message was broadcast to Zimbabweans at home and abroad, emphasizing national unity in pursuit of shared prosperity.
