The President of the Republic of Zimbabwe HE Cde, Dr Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa has made four significant appointments to key ambassadorial positions, reflecting a strategic approach to strengthening the country’s diplomatic engagements globally.
The key ambassadorial appointments were officially announced in today’s Government Gazette, September 17, 2025, providing formal notice of these significant diplomatic postings.
Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya announced that, Isaac. A. Moyo is now ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Patrick R. Mutasa as ambassador to Cuba, David D. Hamadziripi ambassador to the United States of America and Lovemore Mazemo to South Africa.

“IT is hereby notified that His Excellency has, in terms of section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No.20) Act 2013 appointed Patrick Ronald Mutasa as ambassador to Cuba.
“General Notice 1908B of 2025, CONSTITUTION OF ZIMBABWE, Appointment of Ambassador to South Africa.
“IT is hereby notified that His Excellency has, in terms of section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No.20) Act 2013 appointed Lovemore Mazemo as ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to South Africa.
“General Notice 1908C of 2025, CONSTITUTION OF ZIMBABWE, Appointment of Ambassador to United Arab Emirates.
“IT is hereby notified that His Excellency has, in terms of section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No.20) Act 2013 appointed Isaac Annanias Moyo as ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to United Arab Emirates.
“General Notice 1908D of 2025, CONSTITUTION OF ZIMBABWE, Appointment of Ambassador to United States of America.
“IT is hereby notified that His Excellency has, in terms of section 110(2)(i) as read with section 204 of the Constitution of Zimbabwe Amendment (No.20) Act 2013 appointed David Douglas Hamadziripi as ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to United States of America,” announced Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Martin Rushwaya.
The diplomatic changes come as Harare continues efforts to re-engage with the international community, attract investment, and consolidate bilateral relations with key global partners.
