Veteran of the Liberation Struggle Titus Muchato Masunungure has died.
Cde Titus Masunungure who is brother to thevhayeya.com founder Lovemore Masunungure passed on around midnight at his Chitungwiza home.
Younger brother Lovemore Muchakandiona Masunungure announced the sad news to thevhayeya.com.
Lovemore Masunungure himself said he had nothing much to say than that the family hero and indeed a Zimbabwean Liberation hero had fallen.
He posted WhatsApp status seen by thevhayeya.com summarizing his pain.
“So, we were 24 sons and daughters from my father by the year of the Lord 1980, today at 0015hrs you decided Lord to rest our dear Brother Mukoma Tito from the pains of this life …yes now we are just 14 of us left in this order 5,4,5 ….ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜Rest in peace Baba Joe the great Son of our Father ,A great Veteran of the Liberation Struggle and a Soldier of great repute ..Tichasanganiswa mukoma,” said grieving Lovemore Masunungure.
The late Titus Masunungure was aged 70 years.
Cde Titus is an Ex-member of the Zimbabwe National Army Signals Band.
He joined the ZNA from the Liberation struggle and served for over 40 years.
Mourners are gathered in Chitungwiza, while funeral arrangements will be announced in due course.
