The Zimbabwe Republic Police says it has deployed officers across the country to maintain law and order, moving to reassure citizens they can go about their daily lives without fear.
In a press statement issued today, police said the force assures Zimbabweans of peace and security in the country, adding that deployments have been made in all parts of the country for effective maintenance of law and order.
The police said the public should feel free to engage in normal day to day activities without hindrance, ensuring confidence in the security situation nationwide.
“The Police has made deployments in all parts of the country for effective maintenance of law and order. In this regard, Zimbabweans should feel free to engage in normal day to day activities without hindrance,” reads the statement.
The police also said the public should report any criminal activities which include threats, harassment or intimidation to any nearest police station or the National Complaints Desk.
“The public should feel free to report any criminal activities which include threats, harassment or intimidation to the Police at any nearest Police Station or National Complaints Desk.
