The fading Harare giants, Dynamos FC, have pleaded with their supporters to be patient with the 2025 season squad ahead of a blockbuster encounter against Scotland FC to be played at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday, 4 May 2025.
Dynamos FC’s dismal season has sparked outrage among supporters, with the team managing to secure only a single win thus far, fueling growing frustration ahead of their upcoming match against Scotland FC.
In a bid to calm the rising tensions, Dynamos FC released a Press Statement yesterday, addressing the team’s underwhelming performance and appealing for patience from their loyal supporters.
“Dynamos Football Club is aware of the concerns and frustrations that our valuable fans have endured week in week out in the wake of seemingly elusive expected results for the league matches the team has played so far,” said the statement.
Dembare’s current season record stands at a single win, five draws, and three losses, highlighting the team’s struggles to find consistency and spark on the pitch.
The Glamour Boys’ dismal performance has plummeted them to the relegation zone, with Dynamos FC currently occupying the 15th position on the log.
Dynamos FC’s attack has been toothless, with the team having scored a mere two goals so far this season, the lowest number of goals scored by any team in the league.
Dembare, acknowledged the team’s struggles in a statement, emphasizing that the new signings require time to gel as a unit and pleaded with the club’s 7 million supporters to exercise patience and trust the process.
“The new players who joined the club this season require support and patience as they settle down into a club with high expectations and performance standards.
“We would like to appeal to our legion of fans to remain calm and patient during this period. All the structures of the Club including Coaches, Players and the fans require each other as we all search for a solution to turn the corner,” Dynamos said.
The club further expressed deep concern over the current situation, acknowledging that Dynamos FC’s performance has fallen short of expectations and emphasizing their commitment to working tirelessly to restore the team to its former glory.
“This is a delicate process which is however unavoidable in the wake of the Club’s unfamiliar position and points to date on the log table.
“The club is deeply indebted to the fans and their leadership for their unwavering support that they have continued to demonstrate during this dark phase. As match day 10 against Scotland FC beckons, we appeal to the fans to come out in their numbers in support of the team,” Dynamos pleaded.
Dembare’s opponents Scotland FC, nicknamed “Mabviravira,” sit comfortably in second place on the log and will look to continue their winning momentum when they face Dynamos FC, having secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory at home in their previous match.
Dynamos FC’s woes have been compounded by the loss of notable supporters, including Ogege, who defected to MWOS, and Boban, who has switched his allegiance to Scotland FC, dealing a blow to the team’s morale.
Dembare’s perennial rivals, Caps United, are also struggling, languishing in 16th place on the table, and their recent 2-1 loss to FC Platinum sparked tensions, with fans confronting team officials at Rufaro
Debutants MWOS are defying expectations by topping the log after nine games, their impressive performance so far making them the team to beat in the league.
