Thirty youths from various wards in Chikomba East have completed a security guard training program conducted by Peace Security at Sadza over the past week.
The graduates have hailed the Minister of Transport and Infrastructural Development and Chikomba East MP, Hon. Felix Tapiwa Mhona, for the transformative initiative.
The 30 graduates, comprising 17 men and 13 women, underwent the program at Sadza.
Food and accommodation for the entire period were provided by Hon Mhona as part of his efforts to help the youths secure employment.
All of them have since been employed by Peace Security, as confirmed by one of the trainees, Nathan Utete of Masasa, Ward 17, speaking to Vhayeya.com today.
“We are very happy that our MP, who has given us many opportunities, has gone further to secure us jobs. We are all happy because after training we came to Harare at Peace Security headquarters for deployment,” said a visibly excited Utete.
“All thirty of us got the job and today we will be deployed. Some are going to Sanyati, others to Ngezi, while some are going to Mutorashanga,” he added.
Another trainee, Forbes Mungazi from Mupatsi, also expressed his gratitude.
“I am very excited and want to thank Hon Mhona. I got the message a bit late, but I am very thankful that his coordinator, Mr Masunungure, gave me a chance. Here I am now, employed,” he said.
“We thank Peace Security so much for honoring our MP by employing us. As a team, we will not let both the company and Hon Mhona down,” Mungazi added.
